At what point does our grace run out? If we are to be Christ-like, then at what point does our likeness run out? When is it okay to not be like him? Is it when someone doesn’t act enough like him, or when they make us angry enough… how about when they are what WE see as evil? Romans 6:23 For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord. ALL sin, no sin is greater than the next, no level of evil, is more or less evil than the next. We just choose to put a level on in it on our world here on earth. Romans 3:23 For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God; No one is perfect, not one of us. And that is why Jesus came here, All God and all man. A man broke the relationship with God and only a man could fix it, but man is too messed up to fix it, so only God could fix it, so how? Jesus. All of these deities, he isn’t half God and half man, he is the ONLY one that is ALL God and ALL man at the same time. He lived a sinless life. He understands compassion, that is why his anger is righteous, his love us selfless, he wants us to be with him, and learn from him, but he will not FORCE us to do so.
Mankind is all kinds of messed up. They have perverted the message and made religion out of it when all God cares about is a relationship. Matthew 18:20 he speaks of where 2 or 3 gather in his name, he is in the midst of them. That is what church, or bible study is. Jesus was talking in Matthew 16:18 when he said to Peter, And I say also unto thee, That thou art Peter, and upon this rock I will build my church; and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it. And once again, this was BEFORE Jesus died and rose again. How much more power do you think this man can have AFTER he overcame death? The gates of hell shall not prevail against the Church of Jesus, there is POWER in this place! In a place where you come together in HIS name, and HE is in the midst of you.
God gives grace. So much grace you are saved by it, your faith, his grace. (Ephesians 2:8-9) Why can we not have the grace to deal with others? Especially those we claim to love the most. We will say things like, well if they want it, they will come after it, or if they want to be here, they will show up, or call for a ride. But when we wanted the soul to be saved, we went after them wholeheartedly! And now we expect them to hit the ground running and they can barley walk. WHAT IS WRONG WITH US!??!?! God gives grace, but we are selfish. Jesus, was so selfless, and maybe it was because he could see into the hearts of man, and he was all God. We will always fall short and there isn’t much we can do to help that. We do have God’s word to lean on. We have prayer. We have each other, and we have church.
I pray God gives me the grace he has given me, to deal with my husband. Over and over again. And if it not be by his word, then by my actions I can win my husband over. He knows Christ, he just isn’t where he needs to be with Christ. I pray that I can stand-fast in his word, and continue to show love even when I do not feel love. Because at the end of the day I do love my husband. I pray that he can love you first, and me 2nd like Christ loved the church so much he gave himself for it, and that I can be his only one. I pray that his heart can be on fire, and he can have fellowship with other believers in the church. I ask these things, in Jesus name, Amen!
